Week at a Glance October 15-19, 2018

Bulldog Teachers!

Thank you all for meeting with us for Collaboration Time on Friday and also for PD on Wednesday afternoon. We know your time is PRECIOUS and truly do not like to take it from you unless we think you will find it meaningful. I wanted to make sure to share the "WHY" behind our meetings this week.

Faculty PD Meeting
  • We really think student work norms for consistency throughout the building will benefit everyone! It would be awesome if all kids know the expectations throughout the building and teachers do not feel like they have to spend the first 6 weeks re-training kiddos.
  •  The Affinity Sort (sticky note activity) is such a good way to scaffold UP for our kids. AND you can differentiate the way you do that depending on grade levels!  Let us know if you would like someone to model it for you!
MAP Collaboration meeting
  • We thought this can help you see how to use the MAP learning continuum's different dimensions to differentiate groups and  Tier 1 instruction
We know it was lots of learning this week and I appreciate the professionalism and great attitudes. If you need help with anything shared this week please do not hesitate to let us know!

~Shout Out to Megan Schrull for taking a kinder student for Guided Reading into her first grade classroom and thank you  Aimee Jones for recognizing the strengths of your students and finding a great avenue for them!

The administration team wants to be the best SERVANT leaders we can for you. If there is anything at all you need to be successful-please do not hesitate to ask.  Our doors are open at all times. (or more like our Voxers?!)

   ***ARTURO RUELAS***

You have been a blessing and an amazing addition to our school. You are positive, kind, and full of energy. You are hard-working and willing to do whatever it takes. You answer every call, every email, every walkiemessage with grace and respect. You have even translated parent conferences beautifully! (WOW!) You treat our students the way they deserve to be treated. Everyone on our staff has expressed sincere gratitude and thankfulness for you.
